Digital FlashUP – Episode 3: "AI & Business – AI, Ethics & Responsibilities"
The Extended Monaco Businesses (EME) programme, in partnership with Monaco Business Office (MBO), continued its Digital FlashUP series with a third episode focusing on the ethical challenges and responsibilities associated with the use of artificial intelligence in business.
Held on 30 April 2026 at MonacoTech, this 35-minute morning session brought together nearly 210 participants — 110 in person and 100 online — for concrete discussions to move from the experimentation stage to structured use of AI.
Participants addressed very practical issues:
- Understanding the real risks associated with AI (bias, hallucinations, loss of control)
- Clarifying the applicable regulatory framework (AI Act, responsibilities)
- Identifying best practices to govern uses
- And striking the right balance between innovation and governance
One key message notably marked the discussions: the risk is not so much that AI makes mistakes… but that we fail to notice them.
A concrete use case in Monaco illustrated how to structure and securely deploy AI within an organisation.
Following on from this session, businesses can explore these topics in greater depth through the FlashLearn AI educational courses proposed by Extended Monaco Businesses, which supports professionals in adopting a structured, practical and responsible approach to artificial intelligence.
A video course, made up of short modules, directly applicable in business, in order to:
- Understand the fundamentals
- Boost productivity
- Adopt best practices for ethics and security
