Understanding the process
For any relocation of business or opening of additional premises or secondary office, you must first apply to the Business Development Agency for authorisation.
You must make an application for authorisation addressed to His Excellency the Minister of State, requesting permission for the relocation of a business or the opening of additional premises or secondary office.
For natural persons of Monegasque nationality, a declaration can be made in place of this application, except in cases of regulated activities.
To get the form you can either:
- Download it here
- Or collect it from the Business Development Agency
- The completed information form
- Either a copy of the tenancy agreement for the exclusive use of the premises as office space
Or certification of ownership of the premises drawn up by notary at least three months previously as well as certification that the owner has made the premises available, in cases where the applicant is not the owner of the premises.
If the premises in question were built before 1947:
- A substantiated opinion from the Housing Department on the legal status of the premises (only applicable for applicants of Monegasque nationality)
- The completed information form
- Either a copy of the tenancy agreement for dual use of the premises (as home and office)
- Or a copy of the tenancy agreement for use of the premises as housing along with authorisation from the owner for use of the premises for business purposes
- Or certification of ownership of the premises drawn up by notary at least three months previously as well as certification that the owner has made the premises available, in cases where the applicant is not the owner of the premises
- A copy of the residence permit of the applicant stating the new address
If the premises in question were built before 1947:
- A substantiated opinion from the Housing Department on the legal status of the premises (only applicable for applicants of Monegasque nationality)
You should submit your complete application to the Business Development Agency.
