Understanding the process
All new foundations are subject to the provisions of Loi n° 56 du 29 janvier 1922 sur les fondations.
You must prepare a declaration stating that you wish to set up a foundation by a notarial act en minute.
You must send:
- A request for authorisation
- Two copies of the memorandum and statutes
The documents must be sent by registered post with a request for confirmation of receipt to:

The General Secretariat of the Ministry of State will publish a notice of filing in the Journal de Monaco. If there is no objection within three months, an authorisation to set up a foundation will be issued by Sovereign Ordinance, on the recommendation of the Government, after consultation with the Foundations Monitoring Committee, the Municipal Council and the Council of State.
After you have successfully created an association, it must be registered with Monaco Statistics
