Understanding the process
The loan for setting up a business is intended to finance the acquisition of a business or a lease.
This loan is payable to Monegasque citizens or their spouses who are setting up their first independent business in the Principality.
You must provide the following documents, in addition to those required for the grant for setting up a business:
- A business plan: a general outline of the project, a description of the business activity (including market prospects), a finance plan and a profit and loss account for the first 3 years of activity
- Estimates or bills as proof of the investment
- If the purchase of a business is involved, the purchase agreement, subject to conditions precedent
- An insurance certificate and supporting documents relating to professional risks
The application must be submitted to the Business Development Agency.
After examining your application, the Business Development Agency will send you a letter giving details of how the grant will be implemented.
