The driving instructor's card is required for carrying out this activity in the Principality.
Understanding the process
The expiry date on the professional driving instructor licence will match the date on which the French professional competence expires, unless otherwise indicated on the medical certificate of fitness to drive issued by the doctor consulted, who must be approved in the Principality of Monaco to conduct medical examinations for fitness to drive land motor vehicles. Once expired, you may request that the licence be renewed.
The professional licence ceases to be valid automatically when the holder reaches the age of seventy or if their licence is withdrawn on grounds of permanent unfitness to drive.
You must return your professional licence to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office if you abandon or suspend your professional activity.
If your driving licence is suspended or you are banned from driving in Monaco for any period of time, your professional licence will be suspended for the same period.
There is a fee associated with this service - Please see
