The professional licence can be renewed when it expires.
Understanding the process
The validity period of the professional licence is a maximum of five years up to the age of fifty. From the age of fifty, the validity period of the professional licence is a maximum of two years. However, the validity period of the professional licence issued to seasonal taxi operators may not exceed the duration of the administrative authorisation they have been granted.
When it expires, you can request renewal.
The validity of the professional licence automatically ceases when the holder reaches the age of seventy orwhen a driving licence is revoked due to the holder being declared permanently unfit to drive. The professional licence must be returned to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office in the event of the termination or suspension of the business activity.
Suspension of the driving licence or the prohibition of driving in Monaco will lead to the suspension of validity of the professional licence for the duration of these administrative measures.
