Call for applications - Acquisition of the MC COM premises in Fontvieille shopping centre
The State Property Authority announces that it has granted the limited liability company MC COM a State property occupation agreement on a short-term basis for the commercial premises forming lot n°283, with a surface area of approximately 43 square metres, situated on the ground floor of Fontvieille shopping centre, operating under the trading name of "MC COM".
The premises' original intended use was for the purchase and sale of telephones and related accessories, phone cards, and all services relating to mobile cellular telephone subscriptions and, as a secondary activity, the purchase and sale of electronic games and video games and the sale of Monaco Telecom Internet and TV subscription services.
However, the candidate may propose another type of commercial activity, with the exclusion of all food businesses of any kind whatsoever. The installation of extraction equipment remains prohibited. In addition, the commercial premises may not be used to exercise a licensed profession or as an office.
MC COM company has indicated that it would like the establishment "MC COM" to be operated by another entity.
The State Property Authority would like to draw attention to the fact that MC COM company does not possess any business goodwill, in view of the public ownership of the premises.

The successful candidate will have to pay the sum of TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY-THREE THOUSAND EUROS (€293,000), as a "repossession right", no later than the day of the signing of the deed of occupancy.
This sum represents a maximum threshold, with candidates entitled to propose a lower amount, which must be specified in the application file and justified based on the planned investments and projected turnover of the proposed commercial activity.
The "repossession fee" may not be reimbursed in any form whatsoever by the State of Monaco in whole or in part to the successful candidate throughout the duration of the agreement and any renewals and/or extensions, nor at the end of the agreement for any reason whatsoever.
It is expressly stated that payment of the above-mentioned sum is a sine qua non condition of this call for applications.
The successful candidate must pay the repossession fee mentioned above, per the terms and conditions specified by the State Property Authority.
All interested persons must undertake to make this payment, otherwise their application will not be accepted. To this end, a document drawn up by a banking institution must be attached, certifying that the funds are held or that a loan has been granted.
If the original line of business is to be resumed, It will be up to the buyer to establish his or her personal business directly with the company in handling the transfer of all salaried staff, any transfer of stock, goods, equipment, furniture, etc., and any other contracts that MC COM may have entered with suppliers, etc. As such, the candidate must obtain all information he deems necessary from MC COM company.
