Conference and one-day workshop on intellectual property for startups
On 18 April, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), under the supervision of the Permanent Mission of the Principality of Monaco in Geneva and in close cooperation with the Monaco Economic Board and the Business Development Agency, hosted a day-long conference on intellectual property for the first time in Monaco, at the premises of MonacoTech.
The morning session, with an audience of local business leaders and representatives, was an opportunity to highlight Monaco’s dynamic innovation and creation markets, and to present public policies that support it.
It was also an occasion to inform stakeholders of the benefits of the industrial property tools and services offered by specialised organisations to maximise the potential of their company at the national and international level.
In a smaller setting, the afternoon session focused on tailored workshops that brought together intellectual property experts and representatives of startups from MonacoTech and Monaco Boost to discuss the customised results obtained using the WIPO diagnostic tool and outline, if necessary, the general basis of a strategy built on intellectual property rights.
