Any new employer in the Principality who wishes to recruit must go to the Employment Office to create an employer’s file and to affiliate itself to the necessary social bodies.
Any job offer must be reported to the Employment Office who will then forward the suitable candidates who have priority status in terms of employment in Monaco.
Candidates benefiting from employment priority status are:
- Individuals of Monaco nationality
- Children or spouses of Monegasque
- Residents of the Principality of Monaco
- Residents of the surrounding communes (Cap d’Ail, La Turbie, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin) who have already been employed in Monaco
You can submit your job offer online.
You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt by email within 24H of posting your job offer.

When you attend your appointment, please bring the documents required to complete your procedure.
To submit your job offer you must complete the following form "offre d’emploi".
To get this form you can either:
- Download it here:
- Collect a hard copy from the Employment Office
The form must be completed and returned to the Employment Office. The nature and description of the job must be written in french.
You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt within 24H of depositing your job offer.

If you need to hire extra staff in the hospitality trade, you must complete and submit the following form to the Employment Office.

When you attend your appointment, please bring the documents required to complete your procedure.
The Employment Office will provide you with the suitable candidates who have priority status in terms of employment in Monaco within 4 days of the deposit of the job offer.
If during these 4 days no candidate has contacted you or no candidate is selected, you can submit a candidate of your choice.
Once you have chosen a candidate, complete the acknowledgment of receipt including the selected candidate’s details and return the document to the Employment Office.
For all recruitment requests from candidates of non-European nationality who do not have a residence permit authorising them to work issued by the Prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes, and whom you would like to see settle in the Principality within the framework of the job offered, please contact the Head of the Employment Department directly, via the Department's e-mail address: emploi@gouv.mc
Following the return of the acknowledgement of receipt, and if the candidate you are putting forward is validated by the Employment Office, you will receive a pre-printed form called « Demande d’autorisation d’embauchage et de permis de travail » that will have to be completed with the employee.
You will need to return the form "Demande d’autorisation d’embauchage et de permis de travail" to the Employment Office, duly completed and include 5 € of stamp duty of which 3 € are borne by you.
The employee will then receive a work permit, a registration number for the social security contribution fund and for the independent pension contribution fund.
