You must notify the Employment Office of any changes to work permits.
Understanding the process
Any change concerning an employee's professional or administrative circumstances must be notified to the Department of Employment by submitting a request to modify or renew the employment contract, in order to update the work permit.
This applies to changes relating to:
- The employee's role and professional status
- The type of contract (fixed-term, permanent, etc.)
- The duration of the contract
- Working hours (full-time, part-time)
- The introduction or modification of teleworking
- The employee’s civil status
Employers can submit their application directly online via their Employer area on MonGuichet.mc.
Information regarding:
- The employee
- The employer
- The job offer
is automatically pre-filled from data recorded during the initial recruitment application procedure or the most recent modification to the contract of employment.
The employer must then provide the reasons and information justifying the modification or renewal of the contract.
The employee will receive an email inviting them to sign the modification or renewal application online.
Once the application has been signed by the employee, the employer will in turn receive an email inviting them to sign the application securely.
The employer must then pay the stamp duty online.
Following validation by the Department of Employment, the application for modification or renewal can be downloaded from the employer area.
Once all administrative approvals have been obtained, the employee will be issued with a new work permit.
