Understanding the process

To carry out work on and under public roads and adjacent buildings, you must apply to the Department of Urban Amenities (DAU) for authorisation.

As stipulated by Ministerial Decree no. 63-170 of 10/07/1963

requests for parking restrictions should be made to:

The Town Hall (Municipal Police) for all metred and non-metred parking spaces, motorcycle parking spaces, delivery spaces or disabled parking spaces outside the Port Hercule area
The Marine and Airport Police Division for parking spaces within the Port Hercule area

Or collect it from the DAU

You must supply:

A 1:200 scale plan of the works
A cross-section elevation plan (if requested by the DAU)
A description of pipework already in place in the location, if applicable
A schedule of the work if it will last more than 4 days
Proof of submission of the plans to the relevant companies and administrative services

You must submit three copies of the application form, along with the required supporting documents, to the DAU at least one month before the work is scheduled to begin.
