The works subject to authorisation require an application file to be compiled for authorisation to build and/or demolish or for a preliminary agreement signed by an architect registered with the Association of Architects of the Principality of Monaco (L'Ordre des Architectes de la Principauté de Monaco).

The works subject to authorisation are the works referred to in Article 1 of the said Sovereign Ordinance.
This work requires an application file to be compiled for authorisation to build and/or demolish or for a preliminary agreement signed by an architect registered with the Association of Architects of the Principality of Monaco (L'Ordre des Architectes de la Principauté de Monaco).
Each application must be made in accordance with the application form for authorisation to build and/or demolish or for a preliminary agreement, including a summary table of the documents to be attached, according to the type of work envisaged.

For further information on the documents requested, download the
Two copies of the application file must be submitted to the Department of Forward Studies, Urban Planning and Mobility one original and one copy, which must be certified by the architect.
A digital copy of the file must be deposited on the Administration's dedicated server or sent to the said Directorate on a physical medium (for example a CD or USB stick).
The request will be considered when the application file is complete and the supporting documents are in conformity with the provisions in force.
Once the work is complete, it is necessary to request an inspection visitin order to obtain definitive authorisation to occupy the premises.

One the application has been examined and if the outcome is favourable, the Administration invites the applicant to submit the documents serving as financial guarantees within a deadline of two months, in accordance with the model for the first demand guarantee.

Assessment of the application begins once the file is complete and all documents comply with current provisions.
Demolition work may not begin until the Department of Forward Studies, Urban Planning and Mobility issues the authorisation.
